Megan Amberger, 37, of Shelbyville, passed away Wednesday, March 11, 2026, at Franciscan Health Indianapolis.
She was born February 19, 1989, in Batesville, IN to Steve White and Tina Amberger.
Megan graduated from Batesville High School with the Class of 2008. She earned her associates degree in arts from the University of Phoenix and was also certified in computer aided drafting. She worked at the Horseshoe Casino in Shelbyville for over 14 years. Ultimately, becoming a supervisor in the Food and Beverage department. It was there, she gained close friendships and strong bonds with her co-workers through her years of dedication. Megan’s favorite title was being a Mom. She had an immense love for her 4 children and they were always her top priority. She loved being able to go out and play with them, especially their trips to the parks. In her down time Megan enjoyed playing fortnite.
She is survived by her father, Steve (wife, Nicole) White; son, Allen John “A.J.” (Tori Thomas) Oeffinger; daughter, Autumn Oeffinger; son, Ashton Oeffinger; daughter, Anna Oeffinger; granddaughter, Raven Starr Oeffinger; brother, Darian Shaver and the entire Amberger family.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Harlee White and paternal grandmother, Phyllis White; maternal grandparents, Wanda and Ben Amberger.
Visitation will be Friday, March 20, 2026, from 4 pm to 8 pm at Murphy-Parks Funeral Service, 703 S. Harrison Street, Shelbyville, IN 46176.
Funeral services will be Saturday, March 21, 2026, at 10 am at Murphy-Parks Funeral Service.
Burial will be in Union Baptist Cemetery in Greensburg, IN.
