Imogene M. Fansler, 101, of Shelbyville, passed away Monday, March 30, 2026, at Waldron Health & Rehab Center.
 
Born on July 20, 1924, in Shelby County she was the daughter of Samuel Arthur Morgason and Beatrice Thelma (Copeland) Morgason. She married Merle Roy Fansler on April 8, 1943, and he preceded her in death on April 19, 2002.
 
Survivors include son Steve Fansler (Sharon) of Shelbyville; grandson Andrew Fansler (Carmen) of Shelbyville, granddaughter Carrie Gray (Jason) of Knightdale, North Carolina; and 4 great grandchildren- Anne Marie Fansler, Mollie Fansler, and Warren & Tanner Gray.
 
She was preceded in death by her parents, spouse, brother Charles E. Morgason, sister Mary Ann Smith.
 
Imogene was a lifetime resident of this area and graduated from Waldron High School in 1942. She was a member of Waldron Baptist Church and was a self-employed beautician for many years. Imogene loved to travel, loved her pets, and was very devoted to her husband and her family.
 
Funeral services will be 1:00pm, Friday, April 3, 2026, at Glenn E. George & Son Funeral Home, 437 Amos Road with Rev. Bill Horner officiating.
 
Burial will be in Fairland Cemetery.
 
Family will receive friends on Friday morning from 11:00 am until the time of the service, at the funeral home.
