Glinda G. Steakley, 68, of Indianapolis, passed away Friday, August 22, 2025, at Community Hospital East.
Born on February 6, 1957, in Indianapolis, she was the daughter of James B. Atnip and Dorothy D. (Jaco) Atnip.
Survivors include her mother Dorothy Atnip of Tennessee; 2 children- Thomas C. Mosley of Indianapolis, Mistie Nigh (Dale) of Shelbyville; 2 sisters- Linda J. Nunley (Steve) of Tennessee, Teri Atnip of Tennessee; 17 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; and 5 nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father James, brother James R. Atnip and daughter Amanda T. Pullian.
Glinda was a lifetime resident of this area and was a homemaker. She graduated from Arsenal Tech High School in Indianapolis. She was an avid music lover.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
