
Fayna (Russell) Huntington, 93, formerly of Shelbyville, but resided in Lizton, IN, passed away Tuesday, October 7, 2025, at Hendricks Regional Health.
She was born October 13, 1931, in Evansville, IN to Melvin Russell and Bessie (Crouch) Russell.
She married Woody Lee Huntington and he preceded her in death on February 9, 2012. They spent 63 loving years of marriage together.
Fayna was a member of Moscow Christian Church. She was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She enjoyed crocheting and reading. Reading was a real passion of hers and she was known to be a speed reader because she would finish books so quickly. Fayna was a caretaker at heart. Being a homemaker and caring for her family was her top priority. Fayna was a Godly woman and that could be seen by how she treated her loved ones and even strangers. Her greatest joy came from spending time with her family and caring for others.
She is survived by her daughters, Kathy Huntington and Krista Utley; her sons, Samuel Huntington and Paul (wife, Deborah) Huntington; her grandchildren, Maggen Utley, Paul (wife, Jenelle) Huntington, Cody (wife, Nicholle) Utley and Kylee Huntington; 14 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren; her sisters, Paula Sturgill and Patricia Hilt and her brother, Phillip Russell.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her brothers, Ernie Russell and Ray Russell and her sister, Melba Herndon.
A Graveside Service will be held on Tuesday, October 14, 2025 at 1 p.m. at Moscow Cemetery, 9098 S. River Rd., Milroy, IN 46156.
