Emma Colleen McKenzie, 19, of rural Warsaw, Indiana passed unexpectedly on Monday, July 20, 2026.

Emma was born on September 26, 2006, in Warsaw, Indiana, to A.J. McKenzie and Courtney (Ousley) Hyde. She graduated from Rochester High School in 2025 and was working full‑time as a barista at Starbucks in Rochester.

Emma had a deep love for classic music, especially Journey, Queen, and Michael Jackson. She adored her pets, especially cats and dogs, and loved her dog Lucy. She enjoyed camping, visiting drive‑in movie theaters, and going to races with her father. She also enjoyed shopping trips with her mom and spending time with friends at France Park in Logansport.

Emma loved food of all kinds and liked to bake. She especially enjoyed meals with her uncle Austin. One of her favorites was China Palace and she always enjoyed sushi.

She is survived by her mom and step dad Courtney and Dylan Hyde of Warsaw; father and step mom A.J. and Kayla McKenzie of Pierceton; 5 brothers; 2 sisters; grandfather Tony McKenzie; grandparents Joe and Patty Ousley; grandparents William and Monique Craft; great grandma Lynn Ousley; great grandma Joyce Clark; aunts Michaela Hileman, Kendra Manns, and Trina Beverley; uncle Austin McKenzie; and step dad Adam Craft.

Emma was preceded in death by her grandmother Hazel McKenzie, great grandparents Faye and Ed Owens, and great grandpa Joe Ed Ousley.

Memorial visitation will be held from 6 pm to 8 pm, Thursday, July 30, 2026 at King Memorial Home 101 North Tucker Street Mentone, Indiana.

Emma’s interment will take place privately in the Palestine Cemetery, Palestine, Indiana.

Memorial contributions can be made in her memory to Kosciusko County Animal Welfare League 1048 S. 325 E. Pierceton, IN 46562.
