Donald R. Hedge, age 64, of Lawrenceville, Illinois, passed away February 3, 2026, at the Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes, Indiana.
Donald R. Hedge, age 64, of Lawrenceville, Illinois, passed away February 3, 2026, at the Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes, Indiana. He was born April 24, 1961, in Vincennes, Indiana, the son of Bobby Joe Hedge and Ernestine Fagg Hedge. He married Loretta Wimberly on November 15, 1980, and she survives.
Donald was employed at Gemtron in Vincennes and proudly served his country as a member of the National Guard. He was a man of many interests and talents, enjoying fishing, painting, carpentry, and working outdoors in the yard. Donald was also an avid collector of coins and sports cards. Most of all, he cherished spending time with his family and grandchildren.
Preceding Donald in death were his parents, son, Jimmy Joe Underhill; two sisters.
Survivors include: his wife, Loretta; children, Heather Underhill of Lawrenceville, Donald (Heather – fiancé) Hedge, Jr. of Lawrenceville; daughter-in-law, Addie Pinkstaff of Lawrenceville; one brother and three sisters; grandchildren, Thomas Trey Mackey, Junior Tapley, Zeth Underhill, Zane Underhill, Zayden Underhill, Bentley Walker, Savanna Hedge, Aiden Hedge, Caleb Hedge; great-grandchildren, Arianna Mackey and Jackson Joe Underhill.
Funeral services will be Thursday, February 12, 2026, 2:00 p.m. at the Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Lawrenceville, Illinois. Visitation will be 12:00 p.m. till the service hour of 2:00 p.m. Burial will be in Lawrenceville City Cemetery.
