David Carroll “Squirrel” Miller, 70, of Shelbyville, passed away on Tuesday, December 30, 2025, at The Willows of Shelbyville.
He was born on March 15, 1955, in Shelbyville, the son of Carroll and Dorothy M. (Shepherd) Miller.
Squirrel is survived by his sisters, Sharon Sandefur and husband, Dale, of Edinburgh, and Debra Weekly and husband, Don, of Shelbyville; and several nieces and nephews. Also surviving Squirrel is his second family, Tom Wise and wife, Julie, and their family.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
In 1973, Squirrel graduated from Southwestern High School.
He was a US Army veteran.
Squirrel retired as a fork lift driver at Brazeway in 2017, with over 40 years of service.
Graveside services will be at 11:30 am, Friday, January 2, 2026, at Forest Hill Cemetery, 704 Morris Avenue, in Shelbyville. Military rites will be conducted by the local military committee.
Services have been entrusted to Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, 819 S. Harrison St. in Shelbyville.
