By Staff report

The Wortman Family Foundation Fund, held at Blue River Community Foundation (BRCF), has announced it is now accepting Grant Interest Forms from eligible nonprofits in Shelby and Hancock counties.

This is an opportunity for local organizations to apply for funding to support programs addressing various community needs, with a particular preference for those focused on health and education.

Bob and Sue Wortman, lifelong residents of Morristown, have long been committed to giving back to the communities that supported their family and business. After Bob returned from service in the U.S. Marines, he married Sue, and together they raised their family while building their business in their hometown.

Over the years, through funds held with both the Blue River Community Foundation and the Hancock County Community Foundation, Bob and Sue Wortman have supported many projects in both counties and beyond.

The foundation aims to honor the Wortman’s legacy by supporting programs and projects that address current community needs in Shelby and Hancock counties. Priority is given to education and health initiatives.
