Congressman Rudy Yakym (IN-02) honored two outstanding public servants, Deputy Christopher Parish and Chief Ryleigh Carr with entries into the Congressional Record, recognizing their exceptional service and commitment to their communities.
“Across the Hoosier state, we are blessed with everyday heroes, men and women who selflessly run toward danger when others flee,” Rep. Yakym said. “Deputy Parish and volunteer firefighter Mike Anderson demonstrated extraordinary courage and quick thinking in April, and their fearless actions undoubtedly saved a life. They exemplify the Hoosier spirit and serve as an inspiration to us all.”

“Chief Ryleigh Carr has been a pillar of strength and service,” Rep. Yakym said. “Whether as a coach, school resource officer, or now as Chief of the Community Police Department, her leadership and unwavering commitment have made a lasting impact. Her recent award of the Regional Exceptional Service Award for Region 5 is well-deserved and reflects her deep dedication to the safety and well-being of others.”
