The names of two people who died Friday morning in a serious crash on U.S. 421 North in Decatur County have been released.
Jason Paul Hall, age 41, of Marion, was driving northbound at approximately 6 a.m. and crossed the center line striking the vehicle traveling southbound driven by Douglas Gordon Ott, 56, of Shelbyville.
Both drivers and a passenger in Ott’s vehicle had to be extricated from the vehicles.
Hall and Ott were both pronounced dead at the scene.
James Alexander Ott, 18, of Shelbyville, was flown by medical helicopter to an Indianapolis medical facility with serious injuries.
The investigation into the accident is ongoing, according to Decatur County Sheriff Bill Meyerrose.
