Bob Porter, Utility Superintendent of the Town of Culver, came before the Council for guidance on the town's current changeover of water meters.
Porter told the council that after a quick initial phase of the changeover of approximately 900 total water meters in the town, it has hit a slowdown.
He told the council that 150 to 200 meters remain unchanged despite numerous efforts to contact the homeowners about the need to change over.
Porter said that while some of the unchanged meters are on homes owned by people who live out of town, many are year-round residents. He said the process only takes about an hour to complete.
He said that he didn't need an immediate decision from the council but wanted them to consider it before their upcoming meeting.
