The REES Theatre has announced its November entertainment lineup, featuring three events that span music, classic film, and live theatre.
From a high-energy tribute to the King of Rock 'n' Roll to an inspiring one-woman show about a Catholic social activist, the downtown Plymouth venue is offering something for every taste this month.
The month opens with "From King to Country," starring Jordan Poole, on Friday, Nov. 6, at 7:30 p.m. The one-night-only performance brings the electrifying sounds of Elvis Presley's legendary Vegas era to life, followed by a high-energy celebration of classic country featuring favorites from Conway Twitty, George Jones, Tracy Byrd, and more.
The show promises an evening of nostalgia and music that will have the whole audience singing along, capped off with a special finale.
The event is sponsored by Country Charm Cleaning Center, whose support helps bring live entertainment to downtown Plymouth.
Tickets are available for purchase in advance.
On Wednesday, Nov. 11, at 2:00 p.m., The REES continues its monthly Seasoned Citizen Movie Matinee with a special showing of the 1948 Western classic "Red River," starring John Wayne and Montgomery Clift.
The film follows a determined cattle rancher and his adopted son as they lead an ambitious cattle drive across the American frontier. Filled with adventure, drama, and unforgettable performances, "Red River" is a true Hollywood classic designed to be enjoyed on the big screen.
The matinee series is geared toward guests ages 55 and older, offering a chance to relax, enjoy a great film, and spend an afternoon with friends.
Admission is $8, which includes popcorn and a drink. The event is sponsored by Allen & Donna Pontius.
The month closes on Thursday, Nov. 19, at 7:30 p.m., with a live theatrical performance of "Haunted by God: The Life of Dorothy Day," a moving one-woman show starring Lisa Wagner-Carollo.
The production tells the remarkable true story of Dorothy Day — a journalist, social activist, and co-founder of the Catholic Worker Movement — whose unwavering faith and dedication to helping those in need made her an influential voice for peace, justice, and compassion.
Wagner-Carollo, founder and Executive Director of Still Point Theatre Collective, brings Day's extraordinary journey to life, exploring her struggles, spiritual transformation, and lifelong commitment to serving others.
Admission is just $5 per person — an affordable price organizers hope will encourage the entire community to experience this meaningful performance.
Whether audiences are familiar with Dorothy Day's legacy or discovering her story for the first time, the intimate theatrical experience invites reflection on the impact one person can make through faith, love, and service.
Organizers encourage attendees to invite friends, family, church groups, or community organizations for an inspiring night of live theatre.
All events are held at The REES Theatre, located in downtown Plymouth. For tickets and additional information, contact The REES Theatre directly.
