Indiana Department of Transportation contractor Ragle, Inc. is scheduled to close State Road 43 over Little Raccoon Creek beginning on or after Monday, June 3, to complete a bridge rehab project in Owen County.
S.R. 43 over Big Raccoon Creek is scheduled to reopen prior to the start of this closure.
The closure will take place between Stogsdill Road and Burke Shiloh Road is expected to be complete by early September, weather permitting. Crews will begin to place signage in the area prior to the start of construction.
During the closure, motorists should use the official detour route which follows S.R. 46 to I-69 to S.R. 48.
This project is part of a $3.2 million contract awarded to Ragle, Inc. in July 2023. INDOT reminds drivers to slow down, use extra caution and avoid distractions when traveling near work zones. All work is weather-dependent and schedules are subject to change.
