A wanted Washington, Indiana man was taken into custody in Lawrence County to end a two-state, multi-county police chase.
A vehicle being driven by 20-year-old Ted Petite-Frere was spotted by law enforcement authorities Saturday, September 19th in Daviess County, Indiana. It was known that he was being sought on outstanding arrest warrants there for Theft of a Firearm, Failure to Appear in Court and a Petition to Revoke.
The pursuit led west out of Daviess County and into and out of Knox County before entering into Lawrence County (Illinois) before being terminated in a rural area near the Mid-American Air Center airport located northeast of the city of Lawrenceville. A subsequent search led to the discovery of the Petite-Frere vehicle out of gas with him inside. He was arrested at the scene without incident.
Investigation into the matter is continuing and additional criminal charges have been submitted to the Daviess County Prosecutors Office in connection with the chase.
