The winter snow storms earlier this month of January have led to the end of the school year being pushed back for Lawrence Unit #20.
Superintendent Doug Daugherty reported to the board of education Wednesday night that the district has used 5 snow days that were built into the academic calender.
With those days having to be made up, Daugherty said that the school year is now scheduled to end on Friday, May 30th.
He also indicated that if there is more inclement weather in the future, they would have to ask for the implementation of "Act of God" days from the Illinois State Board of Education.
