Rochester’s announced increase in water costs is still being absorbed by residents.
Mayor Trent Odell says he’s working to avoid the same kind of impact from much needed sewer improvements within the city.
The mayor says there’s good news regarding READI funds being distributed to Rochester to aid upcoming sewer improvements. But there’s also plans to increase costs though at a more spread-out scheduled pace than the water rates.
The mayor says even with the impact of water rates and the plan of increased sewer rates Rochester is still more than competitive with other communities in both areas.
