The Marshall County 911 Center was notified of an injury accident on the exit ramp to Veterans Parkway from southbound U.S. 31 on Sunday, June 29th, at about 2:30 in the afternoon.
Evidence at the scene and witness statements indicated the motorcycle was traveling south on U.S. 31 and was unable to negotiate the exit ramp to Veterans Parkway properly. The motorcycle ran off the east side of the exit ramp, and the driver, William D. Wallace Jr., 40, of Rochester, came to rest in the grass.
Wallace was transported to Memorial Hospital via helicopter to be treated for his injuries. His condition is currently unknown.
