The Marshall County Central Dispatch Center received a 911 call from a resident in the 14000 block of Michigan Road on Friday at 9:49 p.m.
The caller told dispatchers that a male and female had come to their residence and were possibly under the influence of mushrooms (Psilocybin).
The male was later identified as 18-year-old Jacob Brian Keyser of Rochester. The female was identified as a juvenile.
When officers arrived on scene, the female became very erratic and assaulted officers and damaged property. EMS transported the female for medical treatment.
The male was also taken to the hospital for treatment and later booked into Marshall County Jail for contributing to the delinquency of a minor, possession of marijuana, and operating a vehicle with a controlled substance in the body. His cash bond was set at $3,000.
Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is merely an allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
