Locals in Fulton County can once again beat the heat at the Rochester City Pool after a public ribbon cutting and grand reopening kicked off the season last Friday, June 20.
The grand reopening came after huge renovations at the pool. Now equipped with a new deck and new lining for the 25 meter pool there has been some other changes as well. The Rochester City Pool no longer has a kiddie pool or slides, but they do have plans for adding a shaded area and a rock climbing wall to their decks in the future.

The rock climbing wall was made possible thanks to a $20,000 grant from the Northern Indiana Community Foundation. Plans are set for the rock climbing wall to be installed by next season.
The Rochester City Pool, 701 E 6th St, is now officially open from Monday to Saturday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sunday from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m. Admission is $5 per person. Kids ages three and under are free with a paying adult.
