Public meetings on May 27 for City of Shelbyville’s Wastewater and Stormwater Utility planning

Public engagement meetings are planned for next week in the City of Shelbyville’s Wastewater and Stormwater Utility planning Survey.

Feedback is intended to help identify current infrastructure needs and strengthen the City’s application for a planning grant through the Indiana Office of Community and Rural Affairs (OCRA). This planning effort is focused on evaluating existing wastewater and stormwater infrastructure needs across the community and pursuing potential outside funding opportunities for future planning efforts.

Residents who have not yet completed the survey are still encouraged to participate here: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/shelbyutilitystudy

As part of the OCRA grant application process, the City of Shelbyville and the Southeastern Indiana Regional Planning Commission (SIRPC) will host two public engagement meetings on Thursday, May 27 at Shelbyville City Hall. These meetings are intended to gather community feedback related to wastewater and stormwater infrastructure planning needs. The first meeting is scheduled for 11:30 a.m. with the second at 5:00 p.m. Both will be held in the Shelbyville Common Council Chambers on the second floor of City Hall.
