A Plymouth man died in a single-vehicle crash on U.S. 6 that is believed to have occurred during the overnight hours, according to a press release issued today by the Marshall County Coroner's Office.
The Marshall County Sheriff's Office received a call at 8:43 a.m. on Tuesday, July 1st, reporting a crash in the 13,000 block of U.S. 6. Preliminary investigation indicates the vehicle was traveling westbound when it left the roadway and struck a tree. The driver was the sole occupant of the vehicle.
Chief Deputy Coroner John Lampkins pronounced the driver deceased at the scene. The victim has been identified as Robert M. Neiswender, Jr., 51, of Plymouth.
An autopsy has been scheduled to assist in determining the cause of death. Additional information related to the crash will be released by the Marshall County Sheriff's Office as the investigation continues.
