Following contact with police, a Plymouth man was taken into custody for an active warrant.
It was an early morning arrest for the Plymouth Police Department, as they were sent to the Red Rock Inn on Michigan Street. Just after 1:00 am on the morning of Thursday, June 20th, Sgt. Taberski met with Red Rock management in reference to an unwanted/unregistered guest.
Officers followed management to room 221 with the intent of speaking with the guests and asking them to leave. Upon contact with the guests, police discovered that one guest, Jacob Smith of Plymouth, had an active warrant in Marshall County. 24-year-old Smith was taken into custody by police and was transported to the Marshall County Jail.
Smith was booked into County Jail just after 2:00 in the morning on the misdemeanor warrant for theft. He had a bond set for $500 dollars. Smith is yet to be released from Marshall County Jail.

They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
