Plymouth man arrested after traffic stop reveals he never obtained a driver's license

A 30-year-old Plymouth man was taken into custody Saturday evening after a routine traffic stop revealed he had never obtained a driver's license.

Plymouth Officer Krynock stopped a vehicle driven by Erik Cuatlacuatl-Cuatlatl, of East Adams Street in Plymouth, at approximately 8:48 p.m. on Saturday, May 9th, in the Kroger parking lot at 2001 North Michigan Street for a traffic infraction.

During the stop, the officer determined that Cuatlacuatl-Cuatlatl had never received a driver's license. He was subsequently booked into the Marshall County Jail.

Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is a mere allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
