Plymouth Community School Corporation is proud to announce Dennis Stiles as the new head boys' track and field coach at Plymouth High School. A 1992 PHS graduate and former multi-sport student-athlete, Stiles returns to lead the program with a deep connection to the school, a passion for developing young people, and a vision for building a strong foundation for future success.

Stiles’ roots in Plymouth athletics run deep. During his time as a student-athlete, he earned 11 varsity letters across football, wrestling, and track. He earned All-Conference and All-Area honors as a running back in football, along with All-Conference recognition in track and a trip to the state finals. He was also a key member of the 1989 track team that captured the Goshen Relays, Northern Lakes Conference (NLC) championship, and sectional championship in the same season.

In recent years, Stiles has continued to contribute to the PHS track and field program as a member of both the boys' and girls' coaching staff. Over the past four years, he has witnessed significant accomplishments, including multiple girls' school records being broken and the girls' team securing back-to-back sectional championships. These experiences have helped shape his vision for the future of Pilgrim track and field.

“I’m a firm believer that you get what you put into anything you do,” Stiles said. “I’m ready to build a culture and establish a foundation that will return the PHS boys track team to its former glory days. I coach to bring out the best in our athletes and take pride in helping mold them into not only athletes we can be proud of, but fine young adults as well.”

As head coach, Stiles will focus on developing student-athletes through hard work, accountability, commitment, and teamwork. His goal extends beyond success on the track, emphasizing the importance of character, personal growth, and preparing students for success beyond high school.

His appointment reflects PHS’ continued commitment to providing students with opportunities to grow, compete, and succeed under coaches who understand the value of strong relationships and a positive team culture. With his experience as both a former Pilgrim athlete and a member of the coaching staff, Stiles brings a unique perspective to the role and a personal investment in the program’s future.
