PHS Alumni invited to reunite in River Park square for an unforgettable evening Aug. 7th

Plymouth High School graduates from every era are invited to come home for a special night under the open sky. The Plymouth High School Alumni Association will host its annual "PHS Alumni in the Park" event on Friday, August 7th, in River Park Square in downtown Plymouth — and this year's gathering promises to be one for the books.

The event is perfectly timed to coincide with the Mayor's Summer of Music concert series, giving former graduates a beautiful backdrop of live music, food, and downtown atmosphere as they reconnect with classmates and celebrate their shared PHS legacy. No matter the year on your class ring, this evening is for you.

Before the music kicks off, the Alumni Association will host a brief program beginning at 6:45 p.m. that is sure to draw a crowd. The highlight of the program will be the presentation of this year's Distinguished Alumni Award, honoring one or more PHS graduates who have made outstanding contributions to the Plymouth Community School Corporation, the City of Plymouth, or its residents.

The program will also feature a special moment for the school community: the formal introduction of Dr. Pamela Campbell, Plymouth Community School Corporation's incoming superintendent. It's a fitting occasion to welcome Dr. Campbell as she steps into leadership — surrounded by generations of Pilgrims past.

When the program wraps, the party truly begins. Mr. Funnyman hits the Senter Stage at 7:00 p.m. for a high-energy concert that will keep alumni and concertgoers moving all evening long. Bring your lawn chairs, gather your classmates, and settle in for a great night of live music in the heart of downtown Plymouth.

Individual classes are encouraged to set up tents around the edges of the park to create their own reunion spaces for the evening — a fun way for graduating classes to find each other, swap stories, and relive the good old days together.

This year's Alumni in the Park carries special significance as the Alumni Association prepares to launch an annual scholarship program for PHS graduates. Red donation pails will be stationed throughout the park during the evening, and every contribution gets the program closer to reality. If enough funds are raised, the inaugural scholarship will be awarded to a member of the graduating class of 2027 — a lasting investment in the next generation of Pilgrims.

All Plymouth High School graduates are welcome, as well as the general public, and no tickets are required. The Alumni Association looks forward to seeing familiar faces and making new memories with Pilgrims of every generation on August 7th.
