Perdue Foods has announced a recall of 167,000 pounds of it's frozen chicken nuggets and tenders. The company says that some chicken in the packages could have been contaminated by metal after a thin wire was inadvertently introduced to the manufacturing process. Consumer complaints brought the matter to the attention of the company. The recall applies to 22 ounce packages of breaded chicken breast nuggets and 29 ounce packages of chicken breast tenders. The recall is for Perdue Simply Smart Organic Gluten Free Breaded Chicken Nuggets with a sell-by date of 3/25/25, Perdue Breaded Chicken Breast Tenders with a sell-by date of 3/23/25 and Butcher Box Organic Free Fully Frozen-Cooked Breast Chicken Nuggets with a sell-by date of 3/23/25. Those with these products should discard them or return them to the place of purchase for a refund. Thus far, there have been no reports of severe illness or medical dificulties.
