Parke Heritage High School Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) members competed in their state competition held in Muncie February 27-28.
Earning a gold medal was Emma Patton in the Leadership category. This qualifies her for the national contest which will be held in Orlando, Florida from July 5-9.
Also qualifying for the national contest with silver medals were the Parliamentary Procedure team of Treyton Burgess, Stormi Swaim, Cate O’Brien, and Abby Julbert; Entrepreneurship- Maddy Fischer and Mackenzie Reath; and Sports Nutrition- Addie Ramsay and Anesa Veseli. Justice Stark earned a silver medal in the Public Policy Advocate category and is an alternate to the national contest.
“Members have been working on their projects all semester. Each of them have put in many hours of hard work towards their projects,” said Mrs. Morgan Cooper, FCCLA advisor.
