Parke County has revised and updated its Hazard Mitigation Plan.
Public comment is being sought concerning this document.
Hazard mitigation planning identifies risks associated with natural disasters and develops long-term strategies for protecting people and property from hazards events. This plan will assist the county and incorporated towns in gaining access to funds from both state and federal grants and programs.
The plan will be available for review at:

It will be available from Monday, January 26, to Thursday, January 29, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Comments can be left with the Parke County Emergency Management Agency staff in the building.
