Investigation is continuing into the circumstances surrounding an early morning fatal accident on Saturday, September 26th in Gibson County, Indiana.
Just after 4 a.m. CDT, a 2007 Jeep Liberty was headed west on Interstate 64 at the 29-mile marker and veered across the grass median and collided with an eastbound 2005 GMC Pickup truck head on.
One person was reported dead at the scene. Emergency rescue personnel had to extricate one person from the jeep and two others from the pickup. They were transported to an Evansville Hospital and were listed in serious condition.
The Gibson County Coroner's Office has not yet released any further information in regard to the identity of the deceased.
