One person is dead and one person injured after being involved in a multi-vehicle collision Monday night in southwestern Indiana.
Authorities say the fatal mishap occurred on U.S. 41 near the Interstate 64 intersection south of Princeton.
A car was heading east on a Gibson County road and failed to stop. It then struck a northbound truck on U.S. 41. The impact of the collision drove the truck off the road and through a nearby ditch. It then hit a parked van located on the lot of a Pilot truck stop.
One of the drivers was pronounced dead at the scene and the other was transported to an Evansville hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The Gibson County Coroner's Office has not yet released the name of the deceased as the investigation into the accident continues.
