No taillights lead to arrest of Ohio man for large amount of marijuana

On Wednesday, October 29th, Officer Mark with the Plymouth Police Department observed a vehicle traveling on U.S. 30 with no taillights on. A traffic stop was conducted, and Plymouth’s K9 Castor was on scene and gave a positive indication on the vehicle.

During the investigation, city officers discovered a large amount of marijuana.

The driver, James Albaugh, 35, of Philo, Ohio, was taken into custody and transported to the Marshall County Jail.

Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is a mere allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
