On Tuesday, June 17th, Michiana Hematology Oncology announced the transition of infusion and injection services adjacent to St. Joseph Hospital in Plymouth.
Michiana Hematology Oncology announced a strategic change in the delivery of patient care services at its St. Joe Plymouth location. Due to continued cost increases and reductions in reimbursement rates for community-based practices, the organization has made the difficult decision to discontinue infusion and injection services at this location. This change will not affect provider visits or other clinical services at the St. Joe Plymouth site.
Infusion and injection services will be transitioned to one of their hospital partners in the region to ensure patients continue to receive the high-quality care they deserve. The organization is committed to supporting patients through the transition process.
Patients currently receiving infusions or injections at the Plymouth location have been or will be contacted directly by staff with personalized information and the next steps regarding their care.
Michiana Hematology Oncology extends sincere gratitude to its patients for entrusting their care to the team and remains steadfast in its mission to deliver compassionate, patient-centered care, now and in the future.
