A robbery on Shelbyville's Cardinal Lane is being investigated. The Shelbyville Police Department reports that officers were dispatched to Cardinal Lane for a robbery. At this time, police have released that it was reported that two males entered the home in an attempt to rob the homeowners. A male inside the home was assaulted during the incident and was taken to a hospital. Social media posts and witnesses have reported that the elderly male victim was shot in the arm but didn't appear to have suffered life-threatening injuries. Shelbyville police stated in a press release that nothing further is going to be released at this time with the ongoing investigation.
