Lawrenceville Police Chief Jim White has released his departmental activity report for March. The department received 350 request for an officer during the month. They were involved with 11 domestic interventions, 4 mental health calls, 12 cases each of assault and battery, 5 incidents of theft and single cases of burglary and vandalism. They also handled 4 cases of child abuse/neglect and 1 missing persons report. Officers during March made 17 misdemeanor arrests and 14 felony arrests and issued 7 ordinance violations. Lawrenceville police did lend their assistance to the Lawrence County Sheriffs Department (LCSD) and Illinois State Police (ISP) 5 times, emergency fire and medical services 3 times and the general public 8 times in March.
