The city of Lawrenceville has informed GIANT-FM WAKO News that petitions are now available to anyone who wants to run for city office in the consolidated election coming up on April 7th of 2027.
City residents can pick up the forms at the Lawrenceville City Hall located at 700 East State Street during regular business hours of 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
There will be five Alderman seats up for election:
Alderman Ward 1 (4-year term)
Alderman Ward 2 (2-year unexpired term)
Alderman Ward 2 (4-year term)
Alderman Ward 3 (4-year term)
Alderman Ward 4 (4-year term)
The final day to return the petitions back to the local Election Official (City Clerk Rodney Nolan) is Monday, November 23rd, 2026.
