Residents of Lawrence County are being reminded that they are eligible to sign up for a library card.
The Lawrence Public Library Board of Trustees met Tuesday at the facility in downtown Lawrenceville and received a report from Director and Head Librarian Diane Brumley that more people have shown interest in obtaining a card.
All that is needed is to bring proof of identity and residency to the library during regular business hours and pick up a card free of charge. The card allows the holder to use all the services provided by the library and checkout various books and other publications.
The library board set the date of Wednesday, August 6th for the next meeting of the Personnel Committee. That meeting will deal with a review of employee salaries for 2026.
