Starting Tuesday June 3rd, 2025, all Lawrence County Senior Citizens Centers will be closed on Tuesdays indefinitely, with no meals served or delivered on those days.
A statement was issued this week explaining the closures. Federal budget cuts and the dismantling of the Administration on Community Living (ACL) has led to a contingency plan being developed by management to prevent the closure of the centers located in Lawrenceville, Bridgeport, Sumner and St. Francisville permanently.
The centers will still be operational on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 8 a.m. until 2 p.m. daily with all services continuing as usual. Medicare information will still be available on Thursdays and Fridays from 8:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m.
