A Lawrence County man was sentenced this week in Wayne County after pleading guilty to a Class A Illinois misdemeanor Driving Under the Influence (DUI).
21-year-old Jaren Ault of St. Francisville was given 90 days in jail and 2-years' probation as part of a negotiated plea agreement with the Wayne County States Attorney's Office. The jail sentence will run concurrently with a sentence imposed on Ault in a separate Crawford County Illinois matter. He also must pay a $1000 fine plus court costs.
As part of the plea agreement, two additional charges and a pending traffic charge in Wayne County were dropped. It was also indicated in court that Ault may have additional charges pending in Lawrence County.
