Kokomo man arrested on drug charges following traffic stop by Marshall County Officer

A Kokomo man was arrested Thursday evening after a Marshall County deputy stopped his vehicle and discovered suspected marijuana and THC products inside.

At approximately 7:55 p.m. on May 28, Deputy Ash with the Marshall County Sheriff's Department conducted a traffic stop in the area of U.S. 31 and 17th Road. The driver was identified as Kyler A. Smith, 29, of Kokomo.

During the investigation, deputies conducted a probable cause search of the vehicle. Inside, they located suspected marijuana along with THC products.

Smith was arrested and transported to the Marshall County Jail, where he was booked on a charge of possession of marijuana, a Class B Misdemeanor. He was issued a $250 bond and assigned a court date.

The Marshall County Sheriff's Department was assisted by the Argos Police Department.
