A Knox man was lodged in the Marshall County Jail after confessing to shoplifting at Family Express on July 9th.
Just before 1 p.m. Wednesday, Plymouth Police were called to 1628 West Jefferson Street, the Family Express, for a shoplifter.
Officer Derifield spoke with 25-year-old Dallas James Sheets of South Bower Street in Knox. He admitted to taking an item without paying for it.
Dallas Sheet was taken into custody, transported to the Marshall County Jail, and booked in for theft and held on a $500 cash bond.
Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is a mere allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
