A familiar name, Kandee Michael Cook, is coming back to where it all began.
Born and raised in Greencastle, Kandee graduated from Greencastle High School and Vincennes University before embarking on a remarkable career in radio.
In the early 1980s, Kandee was hired by Jinsie Bingham and Bill Cook at WJNZ, marking the start of her journey in broadcasting and sales. By 1985, Kandee and Bill, now married, moved to Rockville to manage WAXI Radio. While Bill has since retired, Kandee continues to thrive in the industry, serving as the Operations Manager and Account Executive for Giant FM WAXI.
Now, Kandee is thrilled to announce her return to Greencastle, splitting her week between Rockville and Greencastle.
Reflecting on her career, Kandee often says, "If radio didn’t work, I wouldn’t still be here 40-plus years later." Her passion and dedication to the industry remain as strong as ever, and her return to Greencastle is a testament to her commitment to the community that shaped her.
For appointments or inquiries, Kandee can be reached at The Giant FM WREB office in Greencastle or The Giant FM WAXI office in Rockville.
