Indiana Conservation Officers are investigating the death of a juvenile whose body was recovered from a private pond in Greensburg on July 17.
Shortly before 9 p.m., Indiana Conservation Officers Central Dispatch was notified by Decatur County Central Dispatch that a juvenile had been found unconscious in a private pond.
A parent located the juvenile unresponsive near a dock, initiated life-saving measures, and the juvenile was transported to University of Cincinnati Children’s Hospital for further treatment.
On Thursday, Indiana Conservation Officers were notified that the juvenile had been pronounced dead at the hospital.
An autopsy conducted by the Hamilton County (Ohio) Coroner’s Office determined the preliminary cause of death to be drowning.
