On March 7th, at 8:38 pm, the Marshall County Central Dispatch Center received a 911 call from a female advising of a domestic disturbance in the area of Glenn Overmyer Drive and State Road 17.
Officers from the Plymouth Police Department and the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department responded to the scene. Jennifer L. Bowman, 42, of West Jefferson Street in Plymouth, was taken into custody during the investigation. Bowman was evaluated at Plymouth Hospital and then transported to the Marshall County Jail, where she was booked on charges of domestic battery in the presence of a minor and criminal confinement.
Bowman was given a $1500 cash bond, but due to the domestic battery charge, she was placed on an automatic 24-hour hold. Her cash bond was paid at 11:45 p.m. on Saturday, March 8th, and she was released.
Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is a mere allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
