Indiana State Police executed a search warrant at a Plymouth business Tuesday morning as part of an ongoing prostitution investigation, resulting in one arrest.
Troopers served the search warrant at 121 West Garro Street just before noon. Anxin Qiu, 43, was taken into custody and booked into the Marshall County Jail on a charge of prostitution. She was issued a $500 cash bond on that charge.
Qiu is also being held on a separate out-of-county immigration hold, for which no bond has been set.
ISP troopers were assisted at the scene by officers from the Plymouth Police Department and the Marshall County Drug Task Force.
The investigation is ongoing.
Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is a mere allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
