A 46-year-old Huntington man lost his life Tuesday morning following a two-vehicle collision involving a semi tractor-trailer south of Plymouth.
According to the Marshall County Coroner’s Office, authorities were notified of the fatal crash at the intersection of State Road 17 and State Road 8 at approximately 11:46 a.m. on Tuesday, March 24th.
The deceased, identified as Michael Vebert, 46, of Huntington, was driving a black four-door Mercury Sable eastbound on State Road 8. Officials state that Vebert's vehicle entered the intersection and into the path of a semi tractor-trailer that was traveling southbound on State Road 17.
Vebert suffered fatal injuries in the collision and was pronounced dead at the scene by Marshall County Chief Deputy Coroner John Lampkins.
Further details regarding the circumstances of the crash are currently under investigation by the Marshall County Sheriff’s Office.
