Main Street Greencastle is hosting Trick-or-Treat on the Courthouse Square tonight from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
The streets of Greencastle and throughout Putnam County will be filled with ghosts, goblins, princesses and more tonight as Halloween has arrived.
While the forecast calls for rain today, that won't stop the activities that are planned not only for today, but also this weekend across the county.
Main Street Greencastle is hosting Trick-or-Treat on the Courthouse Square tonight from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Activities include trick or treating, activities hosted by DePauw University in the M2 building, a hot chocolate bar, giveaways by the Putnam County Hospital, treats and books from the Putnam County Library and more. In order to keep pedestrians safe, those attending will not need to cross Jackson Street, as the route will go from Jackson to Vine and Franklin to Poplar, as well as touching businesses on Washington and Walnut streets.
In Cloverdale, trick or treating will take place tonight from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
The fun continues this Saturday at the Wag-O-Ween dog walk and costume contest at Big Walnut Sports Park.
The event, hosted by the Putnam County Animal Shelter will be held Saturday with check in starting at 10 a.m. From 10 a.m. until noon there will be food trucks and opportunities for fun with people and their pets. The dog walk begins at 11 a.m. and there is a costume contest as well.
All dogs must be current on vaccines, behave and remain on a leash.
