The Vincennes Board of Public Works and Safety has approved a bid to administer the grant application process for the renovation of the Gregg Park Bandshell.
Southern Indiana Development Commission (SIDC) was the lone bidder for the work. The city council recently approved a resolution pursuing state funding to refurbish the close to 90-year structure.
SIDC will now work to gather information for the application. Part of that will be the circulation of a brief residential survey asking those who participate to comment on their use of the park, use of the bandshell itself, events attended at the park and thoughts on the project. A firm timeline for the submission is not known.
