Lawrenceville Mayor David Courtney has sent two matters to committee after lengthy discussions on both at the December city council meeting at City Hall Thursday night.
The issue of use of golf carts to travel inside city limits was referred to the Street and Alley committee for further study and review. They are currently banned by ordinance.
A city wide cleanup was given to the Legislative Committee after hearing sentiment to begin the event again in the city.
The council did adopt two ordinances regarding the River Run Estates sub-division-one of those dealing with property sales at the location.
Also approved was a split of the costs for utility poles removal at the ongoing Farm Credit construction project. The city will use $20,000 from motor fuel taxes to fund it's part.
