With a picture perfect weather forecast in the cards, downtown Greencastle could be very busy Friday, June 5.
And, that is music to the ears of Main Street Greencastle director Kate Knaul, as First Friday is slated for that evening.
The activities begin at 6 p.m. and will last until 10 p.m. and feature an evening of live music, vendors, food trucks and family friendly activities.
Beginning at 7 p.m., music will hit three stages around the Courthouse Square and downtown area. Fancy Sauce will be on the Moore's Bar & Grill stage, while Big Daddy Cane will perform on the Almost Home Courthouse Stage and CPR Revival will perform on the Lost Hollow Stage.
"At Main Street Greencastle, we believe downtown should be a place where people gather, connect and experience community. First Friday is one of the many ways we support local businesses, create opportunities for engagement and help build a vibrant and welcoming downtown," board president Tammy Keenan said.
June's event is sponsored by DePauw University and the Growing Green & Gold Together Initiative, while stage sponsors include: Buzzi Unicem USA, Chiyoda, Old National Bank, the Putnam County Convention and Visitor's Bureau and the Putnam County Community Foundation.
