Firefighters with the Plymouth Fire Department responded to a fire at the Love's Truck Stop located at U.S. 30 and Pioneer Drive on Tuesday morning at approximately 5:45 a.m.

According to Plymouth Fire officials, a worker was repairing a broken fuel line in the pump. Diesel fuel leaked out and was ignited by the ATV he was using. The flames quickly spread to a semi-truck that was parked at a nearby fuel pump.

The fire intensified rapidly due to sheets of insulation the truck was transporting, which are highly combustible materials. Firefighters worked to contain the blaze and prevent it from spreading.

The semi-truck driver was not injured in the incident. There were no reports of injuries to the employee who was working on the pump or other individuals at the scene.

Multiple fuel pumps sustained damage from the fire. The extent of the damage has not been disclosed.

Fire investigators are working to determine the cause of the initial ignition at the diesel pump. The investigation remains ongoing.

Despite the damage, the Love's Truck Stop was able to remain open for business on Tuesday.
